Privacy, terms, accessibility and cookies.

Four short policies in plain language. If anything here is unclear, ask — a policy nobody understands is not a policy. Written questions go to info@dapor.club.

01 · Privacy

Privacy policy

The Dapor Cold Chain Institute collects personal information under Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial legislation. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do about it.

What we collect

  • Enquiries. Name, organization, email, optional phone, and whatever you write in the message field.
  • Certification records. Candidate name, employer at the time of assessment, assessment results, credential number and renewal dates.
  • Membership records. Organization details, named technical contact, dues history.
  • Engagement records. Documents, logger data, photographs and interview notes gathered during an audit, mapping study or investigation.
  • Bulletin subscriptions. Email address only.
  • Site analytics. Aggregate page counts, held for 14 months. No advertising identifiers.

Why we collect it and how long we keep it

Enquiries are used to answer you and are deleted after 24 months. Certification records are kept for the life of the credential plus seven years, because employers and regulators verify them. Engagement records are kept for seven years to preserve the audit trail, then destroyed. Bulletin addresses are kept until you unsubscribe, which takes one click.

Who sees it

Staff and contract assessors who need it for the work in front of them, under written confidentiality terms. We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and we do not share it with equipment or software suppliers. Excursion data submitted to the register is aggregated and anonymised before any publication; no member is named in a bulletin, dataset or case study without written permission.

Where it lives

Records are stored on servers located in Canada. Our email and course-scheduling providers may process data in the United States; a current list of processors is available on request.

Your rights

You may ask what we hold about you, ask for a correction, withdraw consent, or ask for deletion where we are not required to retain the record. Write to the Privacy Officer at info@dapor.club or 1265 Waverley Street, Suite 210, Winnipeg, MB R3T 6C6. We respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

02 · Terms

Terms of use

Using this site

This site is provided for information. Using it means you accept these terms. We may change the content at any time, and standards are revised on a published cycle — always check the revision number on the document you are citing.

What our documents are, and are not

DCS standards, technical bulletins, reports and templates are guidance. They are not legal or regulatory advice, and they do not replace your obligations under the Food and Drugs Act, Health Canada distribution guidance, CFIA requirements, provincial pharmacy regulation or any contract you have signed. You are responsible for deciding whether a given practice suits your operation.

Copyright and permitted use

Standards, bulletins and reports are © Dapor Cold Chain Institute and published for free use. You may download, print, quote, cite and reproduce clauses inside your own procedures and contracts. You may not republish a document as your own work, sell it, or place it behind a paywall. Templates may be adapted freely, with no attribution required. Cite standards as: Dapor Cold Chain Institute, DCS-03:2025, Winnipeg.

Credentials and certificates

Individual credentials belong to the individual named on them. Audit certificates apply only to the sites, lanes and product classes stated on the certificate, for the period stated. Nobody may claim or imply that membership, a downloaded standard or attendance at an event constitutes certification by Dapor.

Liability

We take care with what we publish, but we provide this site and its documents without warranty. To the extent permitted by law, Dapor is not liable for loss arising from use of the site or reliance on published guidance. Fee-for-service engagements are governed by their own signed agreement, which prevails over these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Manitoba and the federal laws of Canada applicable there.

03 · Accessibility

Accessibility statement

Our members include people who have been on a loading dock for thirty years and read our documents on a phone in poor light. Accessibility is not an add-on here.

What we aim for

This site targets WCAG 2.1 Level AA. In practice that means semantic HTML, a visible focus indicator on every interactive element, full keyboard operation including the menu and the question accordions, text contrast of at least 4.5:1, text that reflows to 320 px without horizontal scrolling, and respect for the reduced-motion setting in your operating system.

Documents and events

PDFs published from 2024 onward are tagged and reachable by screen reader. Older documents are being remediated as they come up for revision; ask and we will supply an accessible version of any document within five business days. Course venues are wheelchair accessible, printed materials are available in large print, and live captioning is provided at the Assembly and at any session on request with two weeks’ notice.

Known limitations

The corridor dataset is distributed as CSV with a plain-text data dictionary; the charts derived from it in our reports carry text alternatives, but the raw files are not navigable by screen reader in a meaningful way. The schematic map on the contact page is decorative and carries a text description; the address is always given in text.

Tell us where we fall short

Email info@dapor.club or call (204) 555-0184. We acknowledge accessibility reports within two business days and tell you what we intend to do and by when. This is our feedback process under the Accessible Canada Act, and the reports we receive are summarised in the annual report.

04 · Cookies

Third-party cookies are set only if you choose to load the interactive map on the contact page. That is why the map does not load on its own. Nothing on this site sets an advertising or social-media cookie.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the strictly necessary cookie will stop the member area from working; everything else on the site will continue to function.

These policies were last reviewed on 12 May 2026 and are reviewed annually by the board. Material changes are announced in the Cold Chain Bulletin before they take effect.
